I'm liking this. I'd add to that description that the eq these creatures wear becomes bound into the flesh they are trying to hold together, and as such, when vanquished, everything the were wearing and holding disappears into nothingness, unable to be recreated due to the great effort needed in for...

If someone would spend the time to go through all the items and put wear tags on them and the progr...

I'm up for it. ;-)

Plus, having minimal skills/abilities, it shouldn't take _too_ long to throw in there, either. Bonus!

Cord: this has probably been idea-ed before, but just in case... it would be nice if identify old you what wear slot a piece of equipment was for... -that would be nice, but why not instead only allow that extra information to be known by using thesius and his relatives. it would restore their use,...

*nods in agreement* I've always wondered why summon didn't have a misfire similar to teleport's... I'd be all for throwing one in there.

Yup, I think it could be pretty fun indeed.

Course, the chours of complaining that a low level group would produce after prayer-ing to some high level aggro might not be all that much fun to listen to, but hey - that's a risk they take, I suppose.

I dunno. Low-level + to str eq is pretty easy to find. Between that and Clericus casting giant strength, it doesn't take too much to start a dwarf and have him up to 25 str. And the whole dropping and getting stuff never seemed like an overly large inconvenience. *shrugs*

First, I'd like to say that, IMHO, it's very cool this idea is moving forward. I very much like it. As for my suggestion of coding additions: I'd like to see a spec_assist for mobs that determines, independant of allignment, whether or not the mob will assist other _mobs_ or other _characters_ in a ...

I echo the sentiment that this idea of species would indeed be very cool...

Have a formal submission procedure for a new species's attributes, much like we do for new socials...

And you know, I was a prime example for the appropriate use of forcing a character to hero. You want an enchant? Sure, here ya go. You want X piece of eq? Sure, here ya go. I was told to stop, I didn't. I had my enchant weapon reduced to 0% and my practices removed, but still I didn't level, just sa...

As for the "game beat at 51" argument... sounds like a formality to me. I don't see a whole lot of players retiring their swords or spellbooks once they hit 51. That aside, I'm a bit confused as to what you are suggesting for damps. Multiple, customizable ones? I'm not sure what that would achieve, ...

Nice ideas, Dis. I think I'm more a fan of the rooms with % decreases idea, as for some reason I think it'd be easier to implement.

But set-able handicaps would be quite spiffy also.

Well, almost by definition, there are exceptions to any generalization.

Well, when the damp kicks would certainly be open to discussion, and lower may be better, but I'd argue that a player should have to wait until at _least_ level 130-140 before they start seeing the custom damp message. And having more default messages between that and discomb would alleviate some of...

Sure. Most or all of those restrictions would be fitting for a spell of this variety.
