a firewall that works with xp and doesn't slow it down? that's called "unplugging your computer from the internet", since i have yet to find ANYTHING, firewall or otherwise, that is willing ot play nicely with xp without slowing it down. *random microsoft-themed grumbling commences here*

It's called hardware - either specialized, or just put an old comp and install *BSD on it. (There are plenty of pre-built solutions available.)
