Is the mud still running?

This room is filled with chairs, benches, and sofas for people to just sit around and talk about life, past adventures, or just otherwise kill time.

I believe you can file this under be careful what you wish for. Someone was just complaining about how things were being run, without a care for how much time and money Scavenger puts into keeping BR going...

As far as I understand it, there was a power outage in the town the mud server is located in and it's caused some issues getting things back online.

Perhaps if people are nice enough, Scav will find the time in his very busy real life schedule to track down the issue and try to get things back online.

I know he's often had to interrupt what he's doing in real life to get us back up, maybe he's not been feeling enough love lately. I don't blame him :P
