How about changing the damage messages to include the actual damage?

The bigger issue here is that the word "befuddles" is used in an attack setting...

I like it though! :D

Well, it's not like knowing how much damage you're doing is going to actually help you in a random combat environment. I mean, whether you're doing 9k or 10k is moot; the only time it'll really matter is if you're doing 1, and if you're tickling generally you'll notice...

I wonder how AMy feels about that sentiment...you'll hurt his feelings. Mean.

There are two kinds of tickling. One that happens when you're a low level or without dual, and another for fun which deals MASSIVE amounts of damage. But hey, it's gonna be interesting to see how much damage your damp can do, or an instakill hehe. But then it will also spoil Disaster's damp message. ;)

i don't particularly like the idea of having the exact amount of damage reported, but i definately think we need either more intervening damage levels with damp being set higher, or multiple dams/damp levels such as damp1, damp2, damp3 etc representing increasing amounts of damage. it gets boring seeing nothing but damps ALL the time, some variation would be really nice

Maybe see damage message for Damp and Damp only this would then only include some kender damage and some ruid/elf damage in mortal land.

*nods* I really don't see any good reason to show how much damage a person is doing. I'm fine with the damage system that we have right now.

I just have one question, at what damage do we start damping?

How about a way to toggle it on or off where you can see how much damage you do or not? Like have one mode where it says your hp/mana/mov (like we have now) and how much damage you do and another where it just gives a percentage, like you are at 100%/78%/12% for your hp/mana/mov, but ti doesn't say how much damage you do like we have now?

These aren't hard numbers, but I believe... Discombobs start happening at 200-300 damage, and damps are somewhere around 600-700.
