it depends on the swamp. often it would be unsafe, especially near urban areas, but swamps are natural water filtration sites, and the water could be very clean. it's juts a crap shoot with a high chance of getting sick. guiardia in itself won't kill you, but the dehydration it causes will especially if you're already fighting dehydration

If the logic is that swamp/salt water can kill you, so will lightning can burn an item eh?

no, but drinking ice cream from the ice cream sea would be kinda cool
