Not everyone reads that forum. I wanted to know what everybody felt, not just builders.

What about something along the lines of:
The Garden of eden
noah's ark
willy wonker's chocolate factory
never never land (peter pan)
a nice new vampire area (maybe something Ann Ricey)

Just a few ideas for you.

Firelily is working on a new Vampire area, but other than that I like the ideas. (although I think it's Wonka - willy wonker sounds like something Scavenger loves to do  )

"Come and live with me in peace and safety, away from all the Wangdoodles and Hornswogglers and Snozzwangers and rotten Vermicious Knids."

Especially all those Wangdoodles. Never can tell about them Wangdoodles...

Although if I were going with Willy Wonka quotes, there's always, "You can suck 'em and suck 'em and suck 'em, and they'll never get any smaller. Never. At least I don't think they do."

or

"A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."

There's a Willy Wonka Factory about 15 miles from here. :)

I don't know, is there anything in the realms that's Lord of the Rings related? I don't explore a whole heck of a lot.

Quite a bit, actually.

Moria, for instance.

Moria depths more than moria, actually. The shire's strongly lotr-based, as well. Nothing else comes immediately to my mind, though.

Midgaard... well the name anyway, I never explored it really.

Not strictly LoTR but certainly Tolkien is Vor's Gondolin area

I personly would rather see something other than an Edan type or a noah's ark type area. I don't think they really "fit" in BR. I love more vampire themed areas though. I wish we had vampires as a race....that would be cool too.
If someone were to do Rice as a theme I think her mummy book would make a better area than her vampire series...or for that matter even her Witching hour series. Both of those books are more based in a defined area. Rice's vampire chronicles take place in tons of differant countries and time periods. The witching hour is based in New Orleans in one house for the most part. Has a pretty interesting and differant creature in it. I think it would be great for an area.

i loved the mummy! i was so disappointed when the movie "the mummy" came out, because someone had told me it was based on the book *frown*. the movie was funny, but it sucked compared to the book.

well, how about some sort of pioneer settlement, or civil war battleground (is this too modern? Gettysburg is a good idea  . You can have ghosts and stuff, it's supposed to be the most haunted place on earth. I've been there and haven't seen a single ghost though), or maybe something Jules Verne like 20,000 Leagues (scuba gear required or something), or Aroung the World in 80 Days (an all fly area or something) or a Conneticut(sp?) Yankee in King Arthur's Court (or maybe just put a Conneticut Yankee in Camolot!). You could also do a Monty Python area. Do we have a Sherwood Forest already? Wow, I'm getting all kinds of ideas now...I want to design an area! :D

I like the idea of having an atlantis, an egyptian pyramid type thing, Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory (or even the planet that he rescued the oompa loompas from [read the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"] where all the vermicious knids and such actually live. Although the Factory itself would be exciting.)
