"help building" pretty much says what you need to know.

You also might want to know about Alicia's builder at http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~cbrand/br/ There is also a design guide on that page that you would probably helpful in addition to the Builder's guide on the BR website.

Thought I'd ask the same question as Kitsune... Is there a new link as the old one doesn't work any more...

Two updates to this Sticky:

First, the BR Builder is hosted on the BR website, although it's not the easiest to find. The direct link is here. Note that as we haven't had support of the code of this Java program in years, you'll have to either revert installations, or tell the main builder executable to use an older version of Java. See this for discussion of the problem, and here for a workaround to force the builder to run in an older version of java (specifically, the -version:release command-line option, to be added into the batch file that comes with the builder .zip).

The massively updated and cross-linked Builder's Guide is here, also on our site, and provides several excellent links under Tools. If you're paying attention, one of those is the alternate method for finding the BR Builder.
