Dunbarth

in the land of the Wice

In a matter of hours, the Wice were fired up and ready to go. Dunbarth led them back to farms continuing to think about a battle plan. He stopped them a safe distance from the Wan Tawns and shared his battle plan.

"The White Wice shall come behind and flank the Wan Tawns from behind. The rest shall separate to each side and attack... Let's go!!!!!"

The three groups split apart and charged into battle catching the huge Wan Tawns by surprise. A few of the Wice fell but they managed to defeat the Wan Tawns, slaying them all. The battlefield was drenched in blood and scattered chopped sticks lay strewn all about. The Wice began a victory cheer and dance and Dunbarth smiled happily.

Suddenly, a figure slowly materialized before Dunbarth and struck him violently throwing him into a tree. Shaking his head, Dunbarth gained his senses back only to hear death screams all about him. An evil sorcerer was hurling blue fireballs at the wice burning them to a crisp. At the same time, from the soups the Wan Tawns had been making, more arose to take vengeance for their lost brothers. Dunbarth gasped as he recognized the sorcerer as the all mighty Pu Pu.

The Wice were fighting for life, but they were so greatly overpowered, Dunbarth feared the worst. Suddenly he remembered the gift Uthar had presented him with. He tore it out of his shirt and looked at it. He pulled on it and it opened in his hand, a small item fell out of it. He picked it up and looked at it.

"Your lucky numbers are 13 17 34 39 67? What the f?"

Suddenly, Uthar stepped out of a shimmering portal and surveyed the battle. "Uh Dun? You're not doing so good here."

"Thanks Uth, I feel much better now. What the hell am I supposed to do with these numbers? And, uh, aren't you supposed to be on vacation?"

Uthar bonked Dunbarth over the head, "You never were the brightest one, look at the back. And, uh, I'm sightseeing so I thought I'd stop by."

Dunbarth flipped the item over and read the back. "Ultimate power comes to those who earn and deserve it," Dunbarth read.

Out of nowhere, a bright flash of light appeared and the battle froze in time with the combatants in mid swing as the Empress descended from the sky like a rose petal.

"Dunbarth, you have come here to save these people from their strife when nobody else could. You have proven yourself a true Hero in the Barren Realms and I will give you the knowledge to defeat all of your foes. You have earned it. I ask you now to eat that shell in which the item you hold in your hand was given to you and use your new found abilities to make peace within the lands. With that, the Empress vaporized, a single rose petal fell to the ground and time continued to move.

Uthar cringed as he watched Dunbarth down the shell. Energy seared through Dunbarth's body and his mind ached as true knowledge and power flowed through him. He uttered a few words and materialized next to the Pu Pu. Dunbarth focused and set his hands ablaze, thrusting them into the back of the Pu Pu. Uttering a few more words, Dunbarth created a poisoned feather and flung it at the sorcerer, embedding it in his forehead. Pu Pu fell to the ground and lay motionless. Suddenly, his body burst into a huge blue ball of fire. When the fire subsided, laying in the ash was the Golden Egg Roll. All around him the battle ceased and the Wice and Won Tawns alike stared at him in awe.

"Henceforth, you all shall live in harmony. You each have skills the other needs. The Wan Tawns are adept at chopping sticks that could be used to make the Wice's farming better and faster. The soup that the Wan Tawns can make should be coupled with the delicacies of the people of Wice. Fight no more, for I do not wish to return here again under these circumstances."

With those final words, standing side by side with his great friend, Uthar, the two bowed their heads, mumbled something unintelligible to the onlookers and vanished into the air.
