Not a ton of people. I'm still around relatively often, and then maybe a score of other people will pop on from time to time. Also, this forum tends to be a lot less popular than the mud itself, so asking here probably isn't a great way to get a head count.

Back when Kiri ran the place I wrote a small program for her that deleted unused characters. I haven't run it since she left. There really isn't much reason. We have tons of disk space and no shortage of possible character names. Maybe someday I'll clear out old characters but there will probably be lots of warning before I do something like that.
